Police are investigating after anti-Semitic vandalism was discovered at an elementary school playground in Queens.

City Councilwoman Karen Koslowitz posted the shocking images to social media around 3:30 p.m. Friday that showed chalk drawings spread across the outdoor courts at P.S. 139 in Rego Park.

The vandalism included dozens of swastikas. Some drawings included phrases like "Hail Hitler" and "No Jews Allowed."

The city education department said a custodian washed the grafitti away. The school was closed due to winter break.

The NYPD's Hate Crime Unit is investigating.

Queens Councilman Chaim Deutsch said there have been nearly 50 anti-Semitic hate crimes in the city in 2019.
