The Wildlife Conservation Society confirmed three ducks at the Queens Zoo died from the bird flu. At the Bronx Zoo, tests are pending as officials say 12 other birds that recently died may have been in contact with the virus.

Last week, Gov. Kathy Hochul temporarily shut down live bird markets across the city and neighboring counties after seven cases of bird flu were detected.

Dr. Michelle Morse, the city’s acting health commissioner, joined “News All Day” on Wednesday to talk about how bird flu is impacting the five boroughs.
