April is Sexual Violence Awareness Month, a call to action to prevent sexual abuse, assault, and harassment across the country.

The NYPD said it investigates 14,000 sexual assault complaints every year.

According to the National Sexual Violence Resource Center, 1 in 4 women have been victims of a rape or attempted rape.

There’s a designated office in city hall that educates New Yorkers and provides resources to those in need.

Saloni Sethi, commissioner of the Mayor’s Office to End Domestic and Gender-Based Violence, joined “News All Day” on Thursday to discuss the resources available to those in need.
