It’s been a busy couple of months for actor Richard Kind. 

He’s made his mark across genres both on stage and on the big and small screens and now, he’s returning to television this fall as Captain Stan Yenko on CBS’s new cop drama “East New York.” 

Kind stopped by NY1 to talk with the “Mornings On 1” crew about the new drama and how it is trying to help the Brooklyn neighborhood in which it’s set. 

The Tony-nominated actor also took time to discuss his new scripted Manhattan-based comedy podcast “Rolling Calls,” following one man’s efforts to keep a casting company afloat.
