1. Officer among four shot at Brooklyn subway station, NYPD says

Four people, including an NYPD officer, were shot at a train station in Brooklyn Sunday afternoon, officials said.

The officer was struck under his left armpit and may have wounds from schrapnel as well but is expected to make a full recovery, police said. Two civilians who were on the train, a man and woman, were each hit by police gunfire. The woman was grazed, but the man was struck in the head, Chief of Department Jeffrey Maddrey said.

2. City Hall Chief Counsel Lisa Zornberg resigns

City Hall Chief Counsel Lisa Zornberg announced her resignation late Saturday night, effective immediately.

Her resignation letter, obtained by NY1, says, in part: “I have concluded that I can no longer effectively serve in my position. I wish you nothing but the best.”

3. Bill proposed to cap Citi Bike at cost of subway ride

Legislation introduced in the City Council this week would cap the price for renting a Citi Bike to be competitive with the cost of the subway.

Under a bill introduced Thursday, Citi Bike’s parent company Lyft would be prohibited from charging more than the base fare of a subway ride to use an e-bike for up to an hour or to use a regular bicycle for up to two hours.
