1. Funding aims to improve pedestrian safety in the Capital Region

Gov. Kathy Hochul earlier this month announced nearly $100 million in funding will be awarded statewide in an effort to promote and improve environmentally friendly transportation options. This includes $4.3 million allocated for the Capital Region.
