New Rochelle in Westchester County has authorized the construction of 10,000 residential rental units and 400 condos over the last decade.

About 65% of the units have been constructed, with more on the way.

New Rochelle was also designated a pro-housing choice community, so it's eligible to apply for state funding set aside to build more homes in New York.
