A new report details multiple instances of sexual assault on Rikers Island in the 1990s.

WNYC Radio/Gothamist found that 24 women in the Rose M. Singer Center were subjected to sexual abuse by one correction officer.

The officer is named in a lawsuit these women have filed under the New York Adult Survivors Act.

Mayor Eric Adams refused to comment on the report during his weekly question-and-answer briefing earlier Tuesday.

This all comes after Adams issued an executive order last week suspending the City Council’s law that would ban solitary confinement in city jails.

Brooklyn Councilwoman Sandy Nurse, who represents the neighborhoods of Bushwick, Cypress Hills and Brownsville in Brooklyn and is the chair of the Criminal Justice Committee, and Victor Pate, the co-director of the HALT Solitary Campaign, joined NY1 political reporter Ayana Harry on “Inside City Hall” Tuesday to discuss more.
