The city is set to receive assistance from the federal government to help with the influx of arriving migrants.

As previously promised, the White House is set to send the five boroughs $100 million to assist with migrants.

The federal funding was announced back in June, and will now come as city is calling for agencies to cut spending.

About 50 federal workers are expected to arrive in the city to help identify asylum seekers who are already eligible to work, as the city and state push for expedited work authorization.

Congressman Dan Goldman, who represents parts of Manhattan and Brooklyn, joined host Errol Louis Wednesday night on "Inside City Hall" to discuss all this and more.

"We will continue to keep working on getting more federal funding for this immigration issue that we are facing in the city," Goldman said.
