The Biden administration is looking to kick electric vehicle sales into high gear as it seeks to reduce the nation’s greenhouse gas emissions.

Earlier Wednesday, the Environmental Protection Agency proposed new pollution rules that ensure 60% of car sales in the U.S. would be electric vehicles by 2032.

In New York, Gov. Kathy Hochul dropped efforts to change the way the state measures methane emissions, which activists say would water down New York’s climate change law.
