On Monday afternoon, officials announced that at least 11 people — ranging in ages from 50 to 70 — have now died after a gunman opened fire Saturday night at a dance studio in Monterey Park, a suburb of Los Angeles with a predominantly Asian population.
Authorities say the shooter was found dead and they are now searching for a motive for Los Angeles County's deadliest mass shooting in history.
Jo-Ann Yoo, the executive director of the Asian American Federation — an alliance of 70 organizations in New York — joined Bobby Cuza on "Inside City Hall" Monday to discuss the shootings amid renewed fears of rising anti-Asian hate and gun violence.
The shooting comes as Asian Americans across the country were celebrating Lunar New Year.
