Antoine Noble, founder and executive director of We Got Next Sports, explained how volunteers with the nonprofit teach valuable lessons on and off the court.

It aims to positively impact the lives of our youth through sports. WGX operates in high-risk communities in the Bronx and surrounding areas.

It serves children ages 6-18 and encourages them to learn the value of teamwork.

In honor of Women’s History Month, the organization has a new female-focused initiative called “She Got Next.”

Noble explained how WGX is focusing on the development and empowerment of the next generation.

WGX is working to break down institutional barriers for female athletes and encourages girls to participate in sports beyond the statistical ages when they drop out.
