New York City is gearing up for a mesmerizing event this Memorial Day as Manhattanhenge returns to illuminate city streets.

On Monday and Tuesday, residents and visitors will have the opportunity to witness the sun's alignment with the east-west streets of Manhattan, creating a visual spectacle.

The alignment will begin at sunset, around 8:20 p.m., and a clear sky is expected to give tourists and locals plenty of opportunity for photos.

To catch the best views, experts recommend positioning yourself along 14th, 23rd, 34th, 42nd or 57th streets. These vantage points provide unobstructed views of the setting sun as it aligns with the city's grid pattern.

If you happen to miss the Memorial Day edition of Manhattanhenge, don't fret. The event will make a return on July 11 and 12.
