Hundreds of people packed into a Barcelona church on Tuesday to mourn a Spanish family of five who died earlier this month in a sightseeing helicopter crash in New York City and whose bodies were laid to rest in Spain.

As church bells tolled against a brilliant blue sky, mourners gathered and wept quietly as they paid respects to Agustín Escobar, Mercè Camprubí Montal and their three young children, all of whom were killed on April 11 when a helicopter broke apart midair and crashed into the Hudson River between New York City and New Jersey.

4. Palestinian student remains detained in Vermont with a hearing set for next week

5. Wildfire in New Jersey Pine Barrens expected to grow before it's contained, officials say

fast-moving wildfire engulfing part of New Jersey's Pine Barrens has not resulted in any injuries, officials said, though it's expected to grow before forecast rain later this week.

The fire in southern New Jersey's Lacey and Ocean townships grew to roughly 19 square miles (49 square kilometers) and could continue to burn for days, officials said during an update on Wednesday. No one has been injured so far in the blaze, and 5,000 residents were evacuated but have been permitted to return home. A single commercial building and some vehicles were destroyed in the fire.

6. Weinstein's #MeToo rape retrial opens with added allegations from a former model

Harvey Weinstein’s #MeToo retrial opened Wednesday, giving a new jury a fresh look at familiar rape and sexual assault allegations — plus a newly added claim from a former model.

For the first time, prosecutors publicly identified Kaja Sokola and detailed her account of what unfolded between her and the Oscar-winning movie producer in the early 2000s. He is criminally charged with forcing oral sex on her in 2006, but she also accused him in a civil lawsuit of groping her against her will four years earlier, when she was 16.

7. Wall Street rises in worldwide rally after Trump softens his tough talk on trade and the Fed
