City Council Speaker Corey Johnson turned the race upside down last month with his late entry into the contest, and our exclusive NY1/Ipsos poll on the race finds him in the lead - but the race remains wide open, with half of likely voters still undecided.
The poll shows Johnson at 14 percent, with the more moderate Michelle Caruso-Cabrera in second, followed by current state lawmakers David Weprin, Kevin Parker and Brian Benjamin.
The big surprise is that Brooklyn City Councilman Brad Lander places sixth with a paltry 4%, despite having won the support of Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and a host of other leading progressives.
