A man is dead and a woman hospitalized in a shooting in Brooklyn early Saturday morning.

It happened outside the public housing complex Ralph Avenue Rehab on East New York Avenue in Brownsville just after 2 a.m.

Investigators found a 32-year-old man unconscious at the scene who had been shot in the chest. He was taken to Kings County Hospital, where he died.

An 18-year-old woman with a gunshot wound to her arm was also located nearby. She was taken to the hospital in stable condition.

The NYPD said a man approached the male victim and opened fire -- and that the woman was a bystander who was struck unintentionally.

No arrests have been made, and it’s not yet clear what led to the violence.
