A manhattan woman is spending hundreds of thousands of dollars to make sure hospital workers have the PPE they need; Ample Hills Creamery has been delivering sweet treats; and an award winning saxophonist from Queens creates a song to make us all feel hopeful. Here are some acts of kindness from our Kristen Shaughnessy. At First Avenue and 27 Street, retired firefighters  handed out thousands of packages of PPE to Bellevue hospital workers. Tim Murphy posted these pictures on facebook.

Rhonda will be coordinating this PPE truck outside of NYC hospitals, nursing homes and homeless shelters as long as there is a need. She also coordinated supplies for first responders in the months after the September 11 attacks.

Ample Hills Creamery is heading into its freezers, pulling out hundreds of pints and driving around the city delivering those to our health care workers calling them big warm hugs in the form of cold, sweet comfort.

Grammy nominated saxophonist Mel Holder is a 2020 Stellar Award nominee. He's from Jamaica, Queen, and put together a song to give people hope as we go get through this pandemic. Eighty percent of the proceeds go to a COVID-19 relief fund.
