MANATEE COUNTY, Fla. — The Manatee County Sheriff's Office has released video of a crash between a deputy and a driver accused of driving under the influence.

The crash happened at about 11:45 p.m., Sunday outside Manatee County's operation center.

Surveillance video shows a pickup truck driving into the path of a deputy's car and hitting it head-on.

The deputy's car was flipped over by the impact. He was taken to a local hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

William Thomas, 47, was charged with DUI, causing damage to property or injury to another person. He was also taken to an area hospital for injuries.
