SUTTON, Mass. - For the first time in school history the town of Sutton has a youth lacrosse program, Mike Conway Jr. and his wife Alex started it this year, for 1st and 2nd graders in town, with the hope of growing it every year to include older grades until they have 1st grade through 8th grade. It's truly been a team effort with many parents helping to organize the program and coach the kids as well, the kids are having a blast while learning the sport of lacrosse. "I like lacrosse because it's very fun and you can have a good time," said 7 year old Hunter Hull.
"I like lacrosse because it's very fun," said 6 year old Reid Conway, "and it's really fun to play the games and other stuff."
"I like it because I like playing hockey and it's basically hockey but in the air," said 8 year old Liam Harkness, "stick handling, cradling and you can shoot harder."
"It's having fun playing with my friends," said 7 year old Cameron Gaffney, "and I try my best every time and it's really fun."
"Yeah the big thing about lacrosse like I said I grew up playing it, love the sport, I had a lot of fun." said coach and President of the Sutton Youth Lacrosse League Mike Conway Jr.
One of the other coaches is Pat Gaffney who played professionally for the Boston Cannons.
