Beatrice Victor died Saturday morning at 98 years old. She had been undergoing rehabilitation at the Eger Health Care Center since she was injured in a fall two months ago. Victor made her mark on the community by giving back to others. She created a computer skills class for seniors and founded the Senior Olympics in the borough and went on to run it for more than 20 years, even competing in some of the tournaments herself. Earlier in her life, she was a military nurse in World War II taking care of injured soliders. Due to the coronavirus crisis, a celebration of Victor’s life will be held at a later date.
