The man who filmed the fatal arrest of Eric Garner on his cell phone is now suing the city for $10 million.
A lawyer for Ramsey Orta claims a drug arrest in June of last year was police retaliation for capturing Officer Daniel Pantaleo putting Garner in a chokehold.
Orta was arrested for allegedly selling an undercover officer $40 worth of the drug Molly.
His lawyer said being falsely imprisoned caused Orta, "emotional and personal injuries."
The charges were later dismissed.
City law department officials said they will review the complaint.
Earlier this month, Orta pleaded guilty to two drug and weapons possession charges in Staten Island Court.
He is slated to be sentenced in October 3.
