Families spent a fall afternoon picking pumpkins at a local farm over the weekend.
Dozens of parents and their kids went to Decker Farm in New Springville on Sunday. The farm, part of Historic Richmond town, also offers hay rides, face painting, and a corn maze.
Families said this was the perfect way to enjoy the fall season.
“It brings the family together just to hangout and be comfortable and casual and have a lot of laughs,” said Annadale resident Michelle Nunez.
Young Anna Diaz of Manhattan agreed. “I don't see my grandma a lot and we get to come here basically every fall and we get to go pick pumpkins, which is nice,” she said.
“People are surprised there is a farm like this in NYC,” said Ed Wiseman with the Decker Farm. “But there still is, it's a family farm, and people come up here and just go 'ahh'.”
Decker Farm is open for pumpkin picking on weekends through the end of October.
