A judge sentenced Jonathan Crupi Wednesday to the maximum, 25 years to life, for the murder of his wife Simeonette Mapes-Crupi. He was found guilty of her murder back in July.
The prosecution said Crupi threw her down the stairs before stabbing her to death in their New Springville home.
They also said Crupi had sex with a prostitute less than an hour before telling police that he found his wife dead when he entered the house.
Simeonette's parents told NY1 justice won't bring back their daughter.
"He has the possibility of a life, we don't. We received a life sentence once he killed our daughter. The most hurtful part is the Crupi family never reached out, and never had any kind of remorse. We were hoping for that today," said Theresa Mapes.
Her parents run an organization to raise awareness about domestic violence. For more information visit SissyAngels.com
