ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- A Rochester man has been arraigned on second-degree murder charges in connection with the death of a man at a Mount Hope Avenue apartment building earlier this week.
Police say Derrick Bovee, 43, killed Jerry Mawson, 64, inside the Hamilton Apartments. Mawson was found dead by officers Thursday morning after one of his friends reported he hadn't heard from him in days.
Police haven't released a cause of death.
Bovee is expected back in court Oct. 12.
