The big night Buffalo Bills fans have been waiting for is finally here: the NFL Draft kicks off tonight.

General Manager Brandon Beane and company are set to make their first of potentially 10 picks in this year’s draft.

The Bills have the 30th overall pick coming off their trip to the AFC championship game last year.

There’s lots of talk leading into this evening that defense should be their top priority.

How about a cornerback to play alongside Christian Benford? A big defensive tackle to stop the run and get after the passer? Maybe an edge rusher to put heat on the quarterback?

But it could be slim pickings on true first-round impact players by the time their pick rolls around — so what about the possibility of trading up or down?

“There’s as many different ways it could go this year as I can remember,” said Beane. “Just what mocksters out there perceive teams' needs are to best player available, so I don’t really know. Just read the board and if we think there’s a player we really love, fits a need as well, those are when I’m trying to trade up: player we love, fits a need and the value that makes sense.”

Another option — just like last year — they trade down and move out of the first round and pick up an extra pick or two.

If they do make the pick, it could be a player like Oregon defensive tackle Derrick Harmon or Ole Miss cornerback Trey Amos.
