The City of Buffalo wants to make sure residents are disposing of their Christmas trees the right way. 

The city says to make sure all decorations are off the tree before disposal.

The tree can be left with the rest of the trash for collection, though it may be picked up later in the week.

Trees can also be dropped off at the city's yard waste contractor, Geiter Done of WNY, at 383 Babcock Ave. Monday-Friday from 7:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Proof of residency is required.
