ELLISVILLE, Mo– Local owners of area Walnut Grill restaurant locations in the St. Louis area announced earlier this week that they have closed one of the franchise’s West St. Louis County locations. 

“Unfortunately, with a heavy heart, we are notifying you that effective immediately, we will be closing our Ellisville location and consolidating our efforts to our Chesterfield Valley location. With two West County restaurants, under current market conditions, it makes sense to close one to strengthen the other,” Eric Vogel and Steve Baker, the local owners said in a statement posted to Facebook earlier this week. Signage at the restaurant was gone by Friday afternoon.

The Ellisville location in the Clarkson Clayton Shopping Center opened in 2014. The Chesterfield Valley outlet is at 17392 Chesterfield Airport Rd. The restaurant also has locations in Sunset Hills and O’Fallon, Mo.

Vogel and Baker said impacted workers were transferred to the other locations. Gift cards purchased from the Ellisville restaurant are redeemable at the other locations.
