As more Massachusetts residents get vaccinated, there are still chances to get free COVID-19 testing through the ‘Stop the Spread Campaign.’
In Worcester County this week, people can get tested at the Mercantile Center on Monday and Tuesday. No appointment is necessary.
In Hampden County, there’s testing at Holyoke Community College Monday through Saturday. Its drive-thru, on a first come, first serve basis.
And in Berkshire County, residents can visit Berkshire Health Systems for testing. BHS is open seven days a week and is by appointment only.
This comes as the Massachusetts Department of Public Health is releasing the latest COVID-19 numbers for the state.
As of Sunday, there were 41 new confirmed cases and an estimated 1,898 active cases.
There are 108 residents hospitalized with 34 in the ICU, and five new deaths.
The 7-day average positivity rate currently sits at 0.34%.
