Some students are bringing global issues to city parks in a creative way. 

Students decorated park benches as part of the Center for Education Innovation's citywide BENCHMARKS program. The non-profit brings enrichment programs to City schools.

For the last six months, the students worked with artists to bring those problems to light in an artistic way. 

In Astoria, students researched issues including ocean pollution, equal pay and mental health.
