A man with disabilities is not letting his life challenges from turning up a crowd and living his dream of being a DJ.

Drew Carter, goes by DJ Drew for YAI  day time programs. YAI is a nonprofit organization that provides educational services for adults with disabilities. On Friday, DJ Drew hyped up a crowd at a Mardi Gras event, where other adults with disablities danced to to the beat, and supported their friend's spinning skills.

“When I was a teenager I didn't know about music today. But now I know how to get down on that turntable and get busy,” said DJ Drew.

The YAI Network holds events for its members on a weekly basis. To volunteer visit www.yai.org
