If you ever dreamed of opening up a food business, you can make it happen in Queens.
Jamaica FEASTS,which stands for Food Entrepreneurship and Services Training Space, is a Queens Library culinary program. It's set to expand to Flushing and northern Queens. The expansion was made possible when the Economic Development Corporation donated $375,000 to the twelve-week program. Culinary students learn marketing tips, receive nformation on how to obtain licenses and how to stand out from other eateries.
This has been tremendous in getting me from point a to point b. It showed me a path, and gave me a path to get to where I needed to go. Starting this summer, the probram will increase capacity from 100 to 250 students.
