The world's borough is showing off its wide variety of local cuisines in Forest Hills, Queens.
Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Church hosted its 8th annual “Taste of the World Festival” featuring dozens of international dishes from eateries in the neighborhood on Sunday. More than 200 people had the chance to try an unlimited amount of food, from mexican dishes to french pastries, there was something for every foodie.
“I think it's really good to support each other we have our local restaurants, and everybody runs different places all the time to go eat and meanwhile we have all of this fabulous food in our own town,”said Forest Hills resident, Grace Wellbrock.
The festival organizers say they hope this event encourages residents to dine locally.
