Police said Tuesday night that they are searching for three men who robbed a teenager in Queens for his sneakers and wallet — a robbery that was caught on surveillance video.
It happened around 12:30 p.m. Saturday on Quince Ave. in between Bowne St. and Parsons Boulevard.
The surveillance video shows three people getting out of a four-door white sedan after passing by the 17-year-old.
They are then seen approaching the boy from behind. One of the men — who wore a black-hooded sweater, red sweatpants with white stripes on its sides, and black sneakers — then grabbed the victim and another man went for his sneakers.
They struggled with the teen while another man joined in on the robbery, knocking him to the ground in the process.
Police said the three men made off with $10 and a debit card in the wallet, in addition to the sneakers. The perpetrators fled northbound on Quince Ave. in the sedan.
The victim suffered lacerations to his knees and arms and was transported to a local hospital in stable condition.
All three perpetrators were described as being 17 to 20 years old. One wore a white t-shirt and dark-colored pants, while another wore a red t-shirt, dark-colored pants and white sneakers.
