AUSTIN, Texas — Police Chief Art Acevedo responded to the downtown shootings by posting a statement on Twitter, promising to bring those responsible to justice.
Speaking on behalf of the Austin Police Department he said:
"We wish to extend our deepest condolences to the family and friends of the young woman who lost her life to this senseless act of violence and wishes for a speedy recovery to the individuals wounded."
