ALLEGANY STATE PARK -- Officials cut the ribbon Tuesday on the new multi-million dollar Quaker Lake bathhouse project at Allegany State Park.
Lt. Gov. Kathy Hochul was among the state and local leaders who celebrated the event. The project replaced the old bathhouse with an energy efficient up to date building that also houses facilities for lifeguards, a first aid station and a snack bar. A new playground and accessibility upgrades were included in the project as well.
"Today we're building memories, we're building the next generation of experiences, people treasuring the outdoors and appreciating what we have here as New Yorkers," said Hochul, D-New York.
The funding for the project was made possible through the governor's 2020 program.
