CHARLOTTE -- Friday night, the community walked for a cure at the 5th annual Relay for Life in Ballantyne.

This year, they're kicking off a fun challenge to raise money and awareness for the American Cancer Society.

So you may have to seen that viral YouTube video of a teenager flipping a bottle of water at his high school talent show. Well, That kid is Mike Senatore, a Ardrey Kell High School senior. Friday night, Mike challenged everyone to flip for the cure .

Deer Park water heard about Mike's bottle flipping abilities and they're donating $10,000 for his new challenge called "Flip For a Cure"

It's a challenge that's personaL for Mike. When he was 13 years old, Mike lost his dad to cancer. He say this bottle flipping challenge is a way to honor his dad and raise money and awareness for cancer research.

 “My goal is I want to get people, and at the same time collect some donations along the way,” said Mike.

"Developing this awesome talent, sharing that. He's an awesome young man,” said Stephanie Barringer.

Similar to the ice bucket challenge, once you'll 24 hours to donate to relay for life, take your best shot flipping a bottle and then challenge next person!

Mike says he's already challenged Carolina Panthers Greg Olsen -- and he hopes to raise $100,000!
