It's all fun and games at the third annual Long Island City Springs Community festival.
Thousands turned out for the annual event organized by the Long Island City Partnership Saturday. It stretched down Vernon Boulevard and ran from 46th to 50th Avenue.
Local businesses, non profits and artists lined the streets with interactive games and activities. There was also no shortage of live performances and outdoor dinning.
Organizers say the goal of the festival is to showcase what the growing neighborhood has to offer.
"Every year there's more and more to celebrate and there's more and more people that need to know the great thing that are in Long Island City," said Liz Lusskin is the President of LIC Partnership.
The festival was sponsored by the Department of Transportation and Council Member Jimmy Van Bramer.
