President Donald Trump said his administration is not considering a pause on the tariffs introduced last week.

This, as the U.S. has now implemented 10% baseline tariffs on all countries and even more on some countries, like China.

China has already declared retaliatory tariffs, with the president then threatening an additional 50% tariff on China.

Meanwhile, economists continue to warn the U.S. economy is headed for a recession.

Gene Grossman, the Jacob Viner professor of International Economics at Princeton University, joined NY1 political anchor Errol Louis on “Inside City Hall” Monday to break this down.
