Former Gov. Andrew Cuomo announced his candidacy for New York City mayor Saturday, but not all the reactions were friendly.
Cuomo resigned from the governorship in 2021 following allegations of sexual harassment. On Sunday, a group of women gathered to protest Cuomo. Meanwhile, the Working Families Party released a video featuring multiple women criticizing his record.
On Monday, fellow candidate Brad Lander held a news conference demanding he repay millions in state taxpayer dollars he has used to fund his legal defense.
Erica Vladimer, a victims’ advocate and co-founder of the Sexual Harassment Working Group, was part of Sunday’s rally and joined “Inside City Hall” Tuesday to further discuss Cuomo’s candidacy.
NY1 had reached out to the Cuomo campaign to have someone on the show presenting his side of the story.
