Last year, Republicans were able to flip several congressional seats in New York - helping them win control of the House by a slim margin.

Those same seats are now key battlegrounds Democrats are hoping to win back as they seek to reclaim their majority.

That’s the goal of a new coalition called Battleground New York, which hit the ground running this week with events all across those swing districts as the group begins voter outreach ahead of next year’s elections.

Gabby Seay, spokesperson for Battleground New York, joined NY1 political reporter Bobby Cuza on “Inside City Hall” Friday to talk more about the effort.
