Police arrested a man in Brooklyn Satruday they say ran from authorities and tried to dispose of a gun he was carrying.
It happened at around 9 p.m. Saturday at the Livonia Avenue L subway station in Brownsville.
Police say they stopped to question 32-year-old Michael Latham when they saw him entering a turnstile using a reduced fare Metrocard.
They say when Latham couldn't prove the card was his, they tried to take him into custody.
That's when cops say he pushed one of the officers and ran toward the subway platform.
Police say he then jumped onto the tracks and threw away the gun, seen here, that he was carrying.
Latham was removed from the tracks with a knee injury and treated at the hospital.
He's been charged with criminal possession of a weapon and resisting arrest.
