ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- Two women were stabbed and two other women were hit by a car shortly before 11 p.m. Wednesday during a series of incidents, starting with a fight, that came to a head in a crash on Rochester's northeast side.
Police said Shavorie Nesmith and Shakqueen Nesmith, both 21, were involved in a fight, and were both stabbed in the upper body.
Police say the Nesmiths got into a car to go to the hospital and on the way there, the vehicle they were in crashed into two other vehicles, a tree and then two women near the intersection of Carter Street and Roycroft Drive, before continuing to the hospital prior to when officers arrived.
The two women hit, Jasmine Ellis, 24, and Airionna Corbit, 20, were taken to the hospital with cuts and bruises.
Police did say initially that the fight was down the street from the crash, and that all four women are expected to recover from their injuries.
No arrests were immediately made, and the investigation continues.
