New York City’s congestion pricing remains in effect Monday, despite the Easter deadline from the Trump administration to halt the toll on some of Manhattan’s busiest streets.
U.S. Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy issued a letter to Gov. Kathy Hochul, claiming that collecting tolls on roads built with federal highway funds is not legal.
Duffy is giving the state until May 21 to end congestion pricing or prove the state is not violating the law.
State Assemblymember Jake Blumencranz joined “The Rush Hour” on Monday to talk about the newest developments on congestion pricing and his lawsuit against it.
Blumencranz also talked about the ongoing state budget talks with the governor and the passing of Pope Francis.
