Earth Week events are underway in the city, with many initiatives to increase education about sustainability and teach people about the things we can all do to help fight climate change.

Some groups work year round on trying to make the city greener and more resilient.

A group recently shared more detailed plans for the New York Climate Exchange’s new Climate Hub on Governors Island, which aims to open in 2029.

New York Climate Exchange CEO Stephen Hammer joined “The Rush Hour” on Friday to talk about the impact of climate change on city infrastructure.
