Cornell University's interim president says that a number of students have been temporarily suspended following allegations of sexual assault and drug abuse at the Chi Phi fraternity.

The fraternity remains temporarily suspended amid an ongoing criminal investigation by campus police.

The investigation began after an individual reported being sexually assaulted and coerced into consuming ketamine and other drugs by several males on October 25. Chi Phi was temporarily suspended on November 8.

It is unclear how long the temporary suspensions will last, and the suspended students were not named.
