A home invasion in Washington Heights ended with the death of a 64-year-old man and his son tied up, according to officials.

Police said in the early hours of Saturday morning, a burglar acquired access through a sixth-floor window to the apartment Jacinto Remigio shared with his son. Once inside, that person let two other people in through the front door.

According to police, the suspects were able to tie up Remigio’s 40-year-old son, and somehow in the process, Remigio fell from the window to the second-floor scaffolding.
