WORCESTER, Mass. - The Worcester Registry of Motor Vehicles service center will officially open its new location Monday.
The RMV is moving from its Main Street location to the former Big Y Supermarket at the Southwest Cutoff Plaza. MassDOT signed a lease agreement for the space in early 2021 and initially expected the center to open fall 2021.
The new service center will feature plenty of parking, a customer-friendly design, a permit testing area and a motorcycle testing course. It also has a WRTA bus stop directly in front of the facility.
The Main Street location will be closed for business as of 5 p.m. Friday.
