Tyler Justus Paige will sail under the American Samoan flag in this year's games. The 25-year-old hails from Battery Park City, went to school in Brooklyn Heights and has been sailing for 16 years. Paige spent the summer of 2019 coaching kids in American Samoa to sail and jumped at the opportunity to join the territory's Olympic team. 

"You go from watching the show to being a part of it. From just being that kid dreaming of making it happen to actually just standing around everyone else who's done the same. There's no feeling like that in the world," said Paige.

He will compete in the Men's 470 on July 28th.
