MILWAUKEE — U.S. Rep. Gwen Moore (D-WI) announced on Twitter Monday afternoon that she has tested positive for COVID-19.

Moore said she is "feeling well" and will continue to work in isolation for Wisconsin's 4th Congressional District. 

"I am following guidance from my doctor and am isolating from others," she said. "I am thankful to be feeling well."

In follow-up tweet, Moore encouraged "every person to continue taking measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19 by wearing a mask, washing your hands, and practicing social distancing."

She did not share any additional information.
