Starting in April, there will be 55 schedule changes on 41 MTA bus lines across the city.

There will be service increases for 25 schedules, and reductions for 27.

One route being changed is the B1, which will start using tandem buses.

The MTA says this change will significantly increase seat capacity and accommodate large customer loads at Kingsborough Community College.

The MTA's chief of operations planning says the Authority regularly assesses bus schedules, and this is an effort to ensure they're adequately meeting current ridership demand on each route.
